In what languages, including mother tongue, do we provide technology/resources including computer software, books and periodicals?


EBSCO (online database) provides translations of instructions into Spanish, French, German, Chinese, Korean, Italian, Potuguese, Japanese, Greek, Turkish.
It also provides machine translations for articles in html format to Spanish, German ,French, Portuguese.
NewsBank (online database) under Special Reports, National Hispanic Heritage Month has a variety of Spanish articles.
Gale (online database) provides machine translations for articles in html format to Spanish, French, German, Chinese, Korean, Italian, Potuguese, Japanese.
Books in other languages Chinese, Danish, Dutch, English, French, German, Hindi, Hungarian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Multi-language, Spanish, Swahili, Vietnamese
There is at least one hard copy magazine provided in the following languages Korean, Chinese, Spanish, French.
Google's Babelfish translator is on a library website page and could be included on the school's website.

The school makes every effort to provide information technology resources which allow students and teachers access to materials in their own and other languages. These resources include software programs, CD Roms, internet, DVD, video, audio cassettes and recorders, (Language lab/listening counters??).

In addition, students are encouraged to use their own electronic dictionaries and computer assisted language learning (CALL) to develop their language in and beyond the classroom.
